There’s been some unseasonably cool days this week, so it sort of feels like fall is just around the corner. But we think we’ve still got a few summer weekends left. Check out the events below for a mix of summer fun (live music, the farmers market) to a little fall preview (football games and apple picking, anyone?).
All Weekend Long
Apple Picking at Cherry Hawk Farms: Grab a fall loving buddy and head out to Cherry Hawk Farms. Each day this weekend starting at 11 a.m., you can pick your own deliciously sweet Gala apples, while picking up a few amazing pics for Instagram, too.
Friday, August 24
MHS Football vs. Jonathan Alder: It’s that time again! High school football is back with a home opener against local rivals Jonathan Alder. The game starts at 7 p.m. at the high school stadium.
Saturday, August 25
Union County Farmers Market: Every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., stop by for seasonal fruits and veggies, local honey, beeswax and jam.
As always, Saturday nights in Marysville are for live music! Check out your options below:
23 Southbound at Leon’s Garage: Good old top 100 country hits by a beloved local band, plus 20 beers on tap
Amanda Overboard at Dalton Union Winery: Eclectic Ohio musicians and an on-site gourmet food truck
Sunday, August 26
Annual Dog Wash at Ace Hardware: Not only is this a great opportunity to pamper your pup, but proceeds also go to a good cause! Come out from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday to support the Union County Humane Society. Your pup can get a wash and nail trim for just $10, and your money will go toward helping dogs in need at the shelter.
Wild Ohio Brewing Tasting at Half Pint: There’s a reason they call it Sunday Fun-day! Head out to Half Pint on Sunday at 2 p.m. to make the most of your weekend and sample some great tea brews from Wild Ohio.
