Happy June! This weekend, Marysville (and the surrounding area) is hopping with things to see and do. Whether you’re interested in taking a painting class, meeting a fireman or relaxing with some live music, we’ve got you covered this weekend. Leave us a comment below and let us know your plans!

Classes and Activities:

Cocktails and a Canvas at Crooked Door Studios

Have you always wanted to grab and friend and try one of those group painting classes? Now’s your chance! Crooked Door Studios is hosting another “Cocktails and a Canvas” event, Friday night at 6 p.m. Registration is $25 and available on their website. The event is BYOB, so the cocktail part is up to you, while the studio provides the art supplies and instructor. And, you get to leave with your own masterpiece!

Summer Lovin’ Pop-up at Marysville Art League

Update your summer wardrobe this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. by checking out the Summer Lovin’ Pop-Up Shop at the Marysville Art League. Local boutiques Simply Stated Boutique and Vintage Violet will be setting up shop, selling unique clothing and jewelry items perfect for the warmer weather. Keep an eye out for special discounts — we saw that Simply Stated will have dresses marked down to $30!

Touch a Truck in Ostrander

We know it’s not technically a Marysville event, but we thought this opportunity was too cool not to post! You and your family can join Delaware County EMS Saturday starting at 10 a.m. to check out their host of vehicles large and small. Peek inside fire trucks, ambulances and more while meeting the brave men and women who operate them and keep our community safe! This event is free and open to all ages.

Live music this weekend:

Honey Compass at Dalton Union Winery

Dalton Union is hosting the always-entertaining Honey Compass this Saturday night from 5 to 9:30 p.m. This duo is down to take requests , so bring a list of favorites and get ready to sing along. Pig Eaters BBQ food truck will also be on site to serve up their “low ‘n slow” BBQ bites!

Jayme at Leon’s Garage

Also on Saturday night, Jayme will perform at Leon’s Garage. This Ohio band will be playing their signature brand of country that “captures the soul from the 70’s and the party of the 90’s.” Hang out from 8 p.m. to midnight with a craft beer and some pub bites and enjoy some live, local tunes.
