It’s that time again, the weekend that makes Marysville famous! The All Ohio Balloon Festival is here. 15 colorful and whimsical hot air balloons will grace the skies over the Union County Airport this Friday and Saturday, with special events spread out throughout the weekend, including a performance by ZZ Top on Thursday. Tickets are available at the door, but FYI it’s cash only.
There’s also the always-fun Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning with a special appearance by Kibby from Cookin’ with Kibby.
Have you made it out to the Wounded Warrior Dog exhibit yet? You can check out this beautiful display all weekend long at 108 N. Main Street.
Next weekend, warm up your vocals and get ready for SCROOGE the musical auditions at The Academy Dance Studio.

Marysville Charity Car Show at Honda Marysville
Check out classic and collector cars at the Charity Car Show this Saturday. Registration will take place Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with judging from noon to 2:00 p.m. and presentation of awards at 3:00 p.m. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Union County Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation.
A Day in the Park at American Legion Park
If you missed the last Day in the Park event because of the rain, you’ve got another chance this weekend! Celebrate Marysville’s park system with free admission to the Marysville pool, free hot dogs and ice cream.
Shakin’ and Stirred at Leon’s Garage
Head out to Leon’s Garage on Saturday for a night of jamming to one of Columbus’ best party bands. Shakin’ and Stirred will play top 40 hits, while Leon’s 21 beers on tap and drink specials will keep the good times flowing all night long.
Union County Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale at UC Fairgrounds
The Master Gardeners are hosting their annual plant sale on Saturday from 8:00 am to noon at the Union County Fairgrounds Armory building. The plants are all divisions from the members’ own gardens and are reasonably priced. For more information, contact Karen Long, 937-645-5045.
