If you’ve had your fill of fair food, there’s a few other fun events going on this weekend. Keep reading for our guide to summer fun this weekend, July 27th through the 29th.

All Weekend Long

Union County Fair at the UC Fairgrounds

Click the link above for the full schedule, but we recommend checking out the country concert on WCOL day (Wednesday), Veteran’s Free Admission Day (Saturday) and the Tough Truck racing event (Saturday)!

Restaurant Week at Half Pint

Technically restaurant week extends through the 28th, but we thought this would make a great Friday date night option. Half Pint is participating in Columbus restaurant week and offering a three-course meal for $25. Choose between tasty apps and Half Pint’s famous burgers for a perfect night out with your sweetheart.

Saturday, July 28

Union County Farmer’s Market and Food Fight at Partner’s Park

You’ve got another chance to check out this quirky cooking contest at the Union County Farmer’s Market this Saturday morning. Watch local chefs get creative by using fresh (surprise) ingredients from the market to whip up some competition-worthy dishes!

Summer Reading Carnival at Marysville Public Library

Celebrate the joy of reading and the end of the library’s summer reading challenge with a carnival. The library will have games and prizes perfect for bookworms of all ages.

Live music at Leon’s Garage

This Saturday, starting at 8 p.m. Leon’s Garage will host solo act Andy Morse of Back from Detention for an evening of live music! They’re also having a special on pimento cheese fries, just sayin’…

Live music at Benny’s Pizza

Columbus’ band RockHouse will bring the “ultimate Hair-band and Iconic Rock Experience” to Benny’s Pizza patio this weekend. This event is family-friendly and the event page promises lots of dancing, so get ready to party!
