Hello readers! It’s Theresa from What’s Up, Marysville? again bringing you your weekly list of things to do this weekend. This weekend is JAM PACKED with things to do, with everything from the usual suspects (live music, the weekly farmers market, etc.) to once-a-year festivities like the Union County Fair. Read on for more ideas to make this your best weekend this summer.

Encore! presents Sister Act at the Union County Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Performances will take place Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.Tickets are $10 for adults,$8 for seniors or students and can be ordered here.
Have a soft spot for local history? Consider signing up to volunteer with Team Marysville to clean and store the historic bricks that used to line the walkways uptown. The plan is to re-use the bricks to add a little history back into uptown. Contact Abigail at email@example.com to sign up.
Back by popular demand! The Peach Truck will be making another stop at Dutch Mill Greenhouse to serve up delicious, fresh Georgia peaches and pecans. Pie baking pros are also encouraged to bring their best peach pie for the Peach Pie contest, which will be judged by Peach Truck staff! Winners will be awarded gift cards to Dutch Mill Greenhouse.
Another fun event down on the farm — Sunrise Sanctuary is hosting an open barn day on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunrise Sanctuary is a rescue organization for all kinds of animals from dogs and cats to farm animals. You can tour the property and learn about the farm’s residents from volunteers. Tickets are available here.
Chef Kibby will be doing another LIVE cooking show at the Union County Farmer’s Market this Saturday morning. Using ingredients found at the market, Kibby will walk you through his recipes with his signature flair! Stop by to pick up ingredients or inspiration for your next kitchen adventure.
Celebrate our city parks this weekend at American Legion Park. There will be free food and free admission to the Marysville pool for a limited time. Bring the whole family for a day of soaking up some sun and fun!
Believe it or not, the fair begins this Sunday! Gates open at 8 a.m., and the rides will open at noon. Get a jump start on fair week this weekend by grabbing some classic fair food and checking out the fair parade.
