Spring has sprung! That means farmers markets, uptown Friday nights and more warm-weather fun. Check out our list of 5 fun things to do to get your family out and about and enjoying the sun this weekend.

Friday

Friday Nights Uptown

They’re back and better than ever! Head uptown this Friday night to enjoy live music and a celebration of all things uptown, as well as a celebration of the 150th anniversary of Scott’s. This Friday, you can also stop by the library to learn more about their summer programs and help them paint their new mural.

You can also contribute to raising awareness for domestic violence and sexual assault through the Union County Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event. This international event asks men to don women’s high heels to show support and their commitment for a safer community. The walk begins at 7 p.m. and you can reserve high heels or bring your own if you’d like to participate. Donations benefit Turning Point Domestic Violence Shelter.

Friday and Saturday

Der Dutchman Heritage Days

Take a trip back in time with Der Dutchman Heritage Days this Friday and Saturday.  Enjoy a vintage baseball game with 1800’s rules, pony rides and even a ventriloquist! This event is free to attend, but they will be raising money for hospice. You can find out more info by clicking here.

Saturday

Opening Day of the Union County Farmer’s Market

There’s no better way to spend a spring Saturday morning than at the Farmer’s Market! Swing by Partner’s Park to pick up fresh local produce and other goodies from area farmers and makers.

Sunday
