From 6 to 8 p.m., grab dinner at The Half Pint or Hinkley’s before heading over to Partner’s Park to enjoy some live music from The Jaw Jackets. Marysville High School Homecoming Game, Friday, October 6 – What’s fall without football? Relive your glory days or clap and cheer for the marching band at MHS’s homecoming game versus Westland High School.
Marysville Art League’s 5th Annual Fall Festival, Saturday, October 14 – What says “fall” more than an arts and crafts show? Marysville Art League is hosting 18 vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry to homemade jam. Smiling Daisy Food Truck and Troncone & Perry’s Food Truck will provide the snacks and live music from Honey Compass and Rosewater Well will set the tone for a fun fall afternoon. More info here.
Legends of Marysville, Friday, October 20 & Saturday, October 21 – Ever wondered about our town’s haunted past? Join Team Marysville and the Silver Scene Players on this spooky walking tour through uptown to learn about the mysteries of Marysville at stops such as the former Avalon Theatre and Henderson House . “A Taste of Country” Farm Harvest Dinner at Burnt Toast Farms, Saturday, October 21 – Burnt Toast Farms is a bit of everything — event space, educational venue, “glamp-ground” and not to mention, a working farm! In partnership with Edible Columbus and Seminary Hill Farm, Burnt Toast Farms is hosting a harvest dinner featuring delicious and hearty menu options, as well as cooking demonstrations and beverage samples from chefs and mixologists. Fall Fun Day at Dutch Mill Greenhouse, Saturday, October 21 – Dutch Mill Greenhouse is hosting a free fall event featuring pumpkin decorating, flower bulb workshops and plenty of fall flowers for purchase! Open Barn Day at Sunrise Sanctuary, Saturday, October 21 – Did you know Marysville has a shelter for formerly abused and neglected farm animals? This month, you can check it out for yourself as Sunrise Sanctuary opens their doors to the public. You and your family can visit the animals while sampling delicious pumpkin donuts from The Little Kitchen Food Truck. Proceeds will benefit the shelter. Details can be found here.
Sweetest Day Chocolate Walk, Saturday, October 21 – Celebrate Sweetest Day by participating in the Chocolate Walk, happening uptown from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants buy tickets ahead of time and then receive a map and goody bag at the event. Tickets are $25 and proceeds benefit the restoration of the historic Avalon Theatre. More info here.
Scarysville, Saturday, October 28 – Sponsored by the Historic Marysville Business District Association, the streets of uptown Marysville will come alive the weekend before Fright Night. Kids can dress up and trick-or-treat at Uptown Marysville businesses from 10 a.m. to noon.
Trick-or-Treat, Tuesday, October 31 – Marysville trick-or-treat actually falls on Halloween this year. Round up your costumed kiddos and take to the streets to collect candy from 6 to 8 p.m.
