Welcome to the weekend, Marysville! This weekend is jam-packed with things to do — and we’ve got to say, most of these are pretty unique! Thursday
Local Wine Tasting at Mitchell’s Berries
Start your weekend early at Mitchell’s Berries in Plain City. The farm is hosting a wine tasting featuring local wines and food samples. Tickets are required and include 5 tastings of wine, sampling of seasonal local foods and a $5 donation. Tickets at the door are $35, or $30 for Farm Bureau members. Make sure you leave the kids at home for this one as it’s a 21+ event.
Friday
Stuffed Animal Sleepover at Marysville Public Library
The library is hosting a very special event this weekend, perfect for the little animal lover in your life. Kids can bring their stuffed animals to the library for a bedtime story, and then leave them overnight for a stuffed animal sleepover. They can pick up their stuffed friends the next morning, along with a special surprise.
Parent and Child Yoga Classes at Pulse Yoga
This unique class teaches kids the importance of intentional movement and breathing for relaxation, while giving you a chance to connect with them with a fun, new activity. The class is geared toward children aged 3-6 and includes bonding postures, playful songs, calming breathing techniques and arts and crafts. The class begins this Friday, but will continue on for four weeks. You can register here.
70’s Style Family Skate Night at the Union County YMCA
Strap on your skates and grab your most stylish 70’s garb, because its time to rock the rink! All are welcome from 7 – 9 p.m. on Family Skate Night. This event costs $2 for YMCA members and $4 for non-members.
Saturday
Cookin’ with Kibby LIVE at the Union County Farmer’s Market
One of our town’s most beloved chefs is doing a live cooking demonstration at the Union County Farmer’s Market this weekend! On Saturday morning, Chef Kibby will be cooking up something delicious using fresh, local ingredients you can find at the market. Come out and get inspired to whip up your own creation: all the ingredients will be right there!
Here’s a unique event, that’s also coupled with a great cause. Union County Guardianship Services is hosting an uptown food crawl to showcase the great eats we have uptown, as well as raise money for their organization. Union County Guardianship Services seeks to provide guardianship services and additional support services for adult wards and their guardians in Union County. Snag tickets to this event for $20 at Richwood Bank, McCarthy & Cox, and Support Services of UCBDD. Participating restaurants include: Old Bag of Nails, Whits, Fifth St Cafe, Ribbon Box and more.
Fourth of July Photo Shoot at PetVelu
PetValu in Marysville will be hosting Lens to You Photography to do Fourth of July-themed photos of the whole family, including your furry friends! For just $10, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, you can get your patriotic family photos taken. After the shoot, you will receive an 8×10 photo, a 5×7 photo and four wallet sized pictures. The photos will be ready for pick up on Monday, June 26th
