You know how in the summertime, it feels like there’s always something to do and fun events spring up every day? That time of year is approaching, and although it’s only April, we have a TON of cool events for you this weekend, from live music to tap takeovers to trash pick-up competitions for Earth Day.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and next weekend!)
Brought to you by the same organization that puts on the Parade of Homes, this event is the region’s largest, free open house for condos, townhomes and patio homes. This year, Walker Villas in Marysville is participating and we’ll be there all weekend long (Friday, Saturday AND Sunday!) to answer all your questions about these truly luxurious patio homes. So come out and meet us any time from noon to 5 p.m. this weekend while checking out these incredible homes! You can also check out a full list of properties on the event website.

Annual Hook Up 2 Clean Up in Uptown Marysville
Celebrate Earth Day on Saturday morning by grabbing some friends and cleaning up Uptown Marysville. Sponsored by Team Marysville, teams of five will compete to see who can collect the heaviest amount of trash. The event is also a fundraiser for trees that will eventually be planted uptown on Arbor Day. Teams can register for $25, but individual volunteers can still help out with a $5 donation.
As part of the clean up event, the Half Pint will be purchasing the winning team a pitcher of beer or appetizer after the competition. Even if you can’t make the clean-up competition, you might want to head over to Half Pint later as they will also be hosting a Brew Dog Tap Takeover all day Saturday.
The largest annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters is back this weekend at Marysville Lanes. Dust off your bowling shoes and bowl a few frames to support youth outreach efforts in our community. Tickets are available here.
Calling themselves “the smartest band in the Midwest,” The Temps will be rocking out at Leon’s on Saturday, playing an array of covers that is sure to get everyone up on their feet. Come out, snag a craft beer and enjoy some quality live music on a (warm-ish) Saturday night in the ‘Ville.
