We like to provide a variety of content on this site: local Marysville news, fun Central Ohio roundups and other things of interest to the population of Marysville. Something we have always enjoyed is seeking out unexpected and unique travel experiences in our own backyards. This is the inspiration behind our new series: Day Trips from Marysville!

Whether you’re driving on I-70 for business, to visit family or just have a day to kill, we recommend doing a day trip to Indianapolis. Just under three hours from Marysville, Indianapolis is a city bursting with things to do, but still maintains that celebrated Midwestern hospitality.

Check out our list below for suggestions on some of Indy’s top notch attractions!

Gondola ride through downtown – One of the most unique things to do in Indy is a gondola ride through downtown! You can board at an Italian cafe before being mentally whisked away to Venice as you float down the canal through downtown Indianapolis. Gondoliers will even entertain their passengers with fun facts and songs, just like they do in Italy!

We also enjoyed exploring the historic Meridian-Kessler neighborhood (home to our incredible AirBNB) and Butler University’s campus!
